About Kaylee Carr, LMSW

I guide my practice from the quote “people start to heal the moment they feel heard” by Cheryl Richardson. In today’s world, so many go unheard,
I want to hear you.

The focus of my practice is meeting you where you are at and modifying treatment to fit your specific issue, personality, and preferences. I will provide the ideal space for you to be able to feel comfortable speaking your mind as you navigate struggles or barriers in life, as well as unwanted thoughts and feelings.

I have worked in the role as a behavioral health therapist for the past 6 years working with children and young adults. I want to continue to provide care to this population and those in their mid to late 30s. I provide techniques related to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Skills, and Strength-Based Therapy. I work with those who experience anxiety, depression, stressors, adjustments, and other related symptoms.

Kaylee's Story

I have had the passion of helping others from a very young age. I began caring for youth when I was 18 years old when I started working at a daycare center and as a nanny. My passion continued to grow when I went off to college and was an intern for a mom’s group. During this time, I worked with children and families. My journey in the mental health field began and I grew to love helping others be the best them they can be. This was the point in my life when I realized I wanted to help youth and young adults.

I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work with a minor and Psychology from Central Michigan University and my Masters of Social Work from Grand Valley State University. Post-graduation, I became a Licensed Masters of Social Worker and began working as a behavioral health therapist providing individual therapy.

I live in Muskegon with my husband and son. We love being outside and taking advantage of what the Muskegon area has to offer. I enjoy spending my free time with my friends and family, laughing or making others laugh, and eating good food.

My youngest son saw a therapist here and she was wonderful with him. My husband and I also have seen 2 therapist here and both helped us tremendously. We learned helpful tools to apply in real life situations in our marriage and individually. I would recommend this place to anyone 💚

I had been searching for a counselor when Hope & Wholeness had been mentioned as a possible fit. They were so right. Dr. Duckworth was amazing. He took the time to explore who i was, what was important to me, and what I needed. He helped me address many things from my past and take on things as they came. When our schedules conflicted I was able to meet with someone else and continue to get the help and support I needed. Cannot say enough good things about the staff.

I have had nothing but good experiences working with Hope & Wholeness! Easy on boarding and flexibility for in person or telehealth visits! Emily is phenomenal! And my kids see Kelley and Michelle and both love them! This facility has been influential in supporting our family's mental health.
