“Whether you want to grow as a person and become a better version of yourself, or if you’re looking for a way to cope and heal from specific stressors or challenges, I strive for you to achieve your goals while accepting who you are and where you are in life! Even if you have no idea where to start and there doesn’t seem to be any solutions, I can work with you to figure out how to take the next step. I am cheering for your success and happiness!”

Amy's Story:

Amy was born in Los Angeles, CA, but spent her early life in Tokyo, Japan. Her family later returned to southern California, where she attended middle and high school before enrolling at Hope College in Holland, MI. Amy obtained her bachelor’s in psychology from Hope College in 2012, and master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Regent University in Virginia in 2016.

After working with marginalized populations in Orange County, CA, Amy joined her husband in Osaka, Japan for 6 years where she helped Japanese adults and teens navigate social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, traumas and dissociative identity disorder. Amy and her husband returned to Holland, MI in 2020, where she’s been happy to settle down after all the moves.
Because of her international travel and experiences as a minority and immigrant, people of color and diverse cultural backgrounds find it easy to connect with Amy.

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her pug Fuji, reading novels, playing video games, and exercising at the gym.

My youngest son saw a therapist here and she was wonderful with him. My husband and I also have seen 2 therapist here and both helped us tremendously. We learned helpful tools to apply in real life situations in our marriage and individually. I would recommend this place to anyone 💚

I had been searching for a counselor when Hope & Wholeness had been mentioned as a possible fit. They were so right. Dr. Duckworth was amazing. He took the time to explore who i was, what was important to me, and what I needed. He helped me address many things from my past and take on things as they came. When our schedules conflicted I was able to meet with someone else and continue to get the help and support I needed. Cannot say enough good things about the staff.

I have had nothing but good experiences working with Hope & Wholeness! Easy on boarding and flexibility for in person or telehealth visits! Emily is phenomenal! And my kids see Kelley and Michelle and both love them! This facility has been influential in supporting our family's mental health.
