Meet Justin Sides, PsyD

Hello! I am Dr. Justin Sides. I am a licensed psychologist, and I am board certified in clinical psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). I specialize in providing comprehensive, insightful, and balanced psychological evaluations to individuals, families, and organizations. My goal is always to deliver clear, accurate, and practical assessments that guide meaningful next steps.

I also provide individual therapy using evidence-based practices. I aim to collaborate with individuals to identify their goals and utilize different skills and tools to help them reach those goals. My desire is to create a genuine, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where individuals feel heard and seen and can find hope.

In my 10 years of clinical experience, I have enjoyed working with children, adolescents, and adults from a variety of diverse backgrounds. It is always a privilege to hear people’s stories and to be invited to come alongside them as they walk through challenges and difficulties. I look forward to joining you on your journey.

Justin's Story:

I have been blessed with many great people and great experiences in my life. I have been able to travel to different countries and see many different cultures. Through these experiences, I have gained a great appreciation for the diverse experiences each individual has while also recognizing the many similarities we share. I have always been interested in people and how I can care for and help others.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Cedarville University, and I had minors in Bible and Business Administration. After teaching English in China, I attended Regent University and completed a master’s degree and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology. My pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency brought me back to Michigan, and I became a licensed psychologist in 2018. Since that time, I have gained extensive experience in psychological assessment across a wide range of clinical and forensic contexts, as well as experience in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

I currently live in the West Michigan area with my wife and three young children. We are very involved in our church, and I enjoy serving on the worship team. We enjoys living near the beach and taking advantage of the various seasons Michigan has to offer. I enjoy sports, both playing and watching them, and I am hopelessly optimistic that the Lions will one day win a Super Bowl.
