I grew up in Illinois and attended the University of Iowa. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts, with a Psychology major. After graduating from college, I moved to Michigan and began to raise a family. As the youngest of my three children entered elementary school, I resumed my academic training.
I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. I have worked in a clinical and supervisory capacity for several programs in Kent County. Several years ago I transitioned to a counseling role in a specialty program, assisting individuals and their families adjust to challenges following brain injury and spinal cord injury.
I currently live in Hudsonville with my husband. I enjoy spending time with my adult children and traveling to visit with other family members who live at a distance. I also enjoy running and outdoor activities.
