Lisa has had a broad range of clients from children to the elderly. Having lost both of her own parents, she has a heart and passion for walking alongside those facing end-of-life decisions/issues with aging loved ones. Recently, her focus has been helping clients of all ages work through trauma-related concerns, including depression, anxiety, and grief. Allowing for space to heal, she encourages movement forward, and hopefully, more effective life/communication skills.
Lisa earned her BA in Personal Communications at North Park University in Chicago, and her master’s degree in Counseling at Spring Arbor University. Her basic theoretical approach is existentialism, which encourages looking at the inter-relatedness of the “why” and the “what”. Her therapeutic approaches include but are not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Movement and Play Therapy (MT/PT).
