My greatest privilege is helping people find healing and wholeness as they work through the negative effects woundedness and loss have had on their lives. It’s through exploring what’s behind the hurts and challenges that allows them to become empowered to live joyfully and successfully as the men and women they were created to be.
Many of the things people struggle with can be traced back to unresolved losses which have not been appropriately acknowledged or grieved. It is through engaging the grieving process as part of their healing journey that frees people from the negative effects past wounds have had on their lives.
One of the most important things I can do for my clients is listen to their story and support them in finding purpose and meaning in their lives so they can live true to themselves. We all have wounds, and we all need healing, yet this is not possible without safe supportive people who will walk with us as we unpack the pain and learn new ways to live – all without judgment. One of my greatest joys is witnessing those “Aha!” moments that take place in therapy, when a client realizes they are not defined by the hurt and pain they’ve experienced, and begin identifying with the remarkable person who God created them to be.
I am most passionate about helping folks learn meaningful ways to maneuver through grief; identify and live out healthy boundaries; and transform the negative patterns from hurtful relationships into empowered living.
I would love to talk with you about ways we can work together to help you live life with meaning and joy. I provide virtual counseling sessions for individuals as well as offer several therapy groups in the areas of boundaries and post-traumatic growth.
