About Abby Isacson, LLMSW

I have learned that you are not meant to walk the path towards healing alone. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxious thoughts or burdened by painful experiences from your past or present, taking the first step can feel intimidating. But you don’t have to do it alone.

As a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker and through my experience as a Pastor, I understand how heavy and complex life’s challenges can be. My approach is warm, patient, and honest. I integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques to help you develop healthier thinking and behavior patterns, along with mindfulness practices. If it’s the right fit for you, I can integrate a Biblical perspective into my sessions. On your path towards healing, we’ll move at a good pace for you, drawing on your strengths and building resilience along the way.
It would be my privilege to walk alongside you in your healing journey. You don’t have to carry it all by yourself. Let’s take this journey together.

Abby's Story

I have been married to my husband for ten years, and we are raising our energetic one-year-old son together. After spending eight years in the Flint area, we recently moved to the west side of Michigan, where we now serve as pastors at a church in the wonderful town of Fennville. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit in 2020 and have a lot of experience as a School Social Worker at the Elementary and High School levels. Some things that give me life outside of work are making art, such as ceramics, from my home studio. I also enjoy long walks through town or the lakeshore with my family.

My youngest son saw a therapist here and she was wonderful with him. My husband and I also have seen 2 therapist here and both helped us tremendously. We learned helpful tools to apply in real life situations in our marriage and individually. I would recommend this place to anyone 💚

I had been searching for a counselor when Hope & Wholeness had been mentioned as a possible fit. They were so right. Dr. Duckworth was amazing. He took the time to explore who i was, what was important to me, and what I needed. He helped me address many things from my past and take on things as they came. When our schedules conflicted I was able to meet with someone else and continue to get the help and support I needed. Cannot say enough good things about the staff.

I have had nothing but good experiences working with Hope & Wholeness! Easy on boarding and flexibility for in person or telehealth visits! Emily is phenomenal! And my kids see Kelley and Michelle and both love them! This facility has been influential in supporting our family's mental health.

Thank you so much for the kind words Erin!
